We see each other in the Senate. There’s no need to say it in the media,” Poe told reporters when she visited Iloilo on Friday morning.

The statement came after Makati Rep. Abigail Binay said they offered to reach out to Poe and stop the word war between their father, Vice President Jejomar Binay and Poe.

But the senator said none of them ever communicated with her so far, about the issue.

“It is important that our people know the real issue and compare it with those (confronting) other people who are also planning to run for office,” Poe said.

Binay was earlier reported to have announced that she is calling to stop the “heared and emotional” exchange between Poe and their father.

The exchange came after Navotas City Rep. and United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) interim president Toby Tiangco questioned Poe’s eligibility to be a presidential candidate in the 2016 elections.

Tiangco, meanwhile issued an apology to the Binays and to Poe.

Poe also reiterated that she has nothing personal against the Binays.

“I hope (the Binays) understand that our main responsibility, especially since many members of their family are in government, is to our duties. I don’t attack them personally.
