MANILA — Jericho Rosales, one of the pioneers of the original Pangako Sa ‘Yo, \u00a0has a message for Daniel Padilla who is taking the same role Rosales did in the original series.<\/p>\n

“A piece of advice — I always say, you make a lousy them, you make a great you. And Daniel is an original,” he said speaking on the sidelines of the red-carpet premiere of “You’re Still the One.”<\/p>\n

Asked about what he feels about the modern retelling of the new series, Rosales said, “Nostalgic, siyempre.”<\/p>\n

“I feel proud na ‘yung show namin naging isang remake. Classic siya ngayon na naging remake. I’m very, very happy for the two — sina Daniel [Padilla] and Kathryn [Bernardo], and the entire cast.”<\/p>\n

He also said that the team should not focus on the pressure.<\/p>\n

“I don’t think they should focus on the pressure, if they are. Lahat kami, proud kami sa kanila, because they’re taking on a great and exciting project.”<\/p>\n
