MANILA \u2013 Celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera have not yet chosen any names for their baby yet \u2013 although they are really excited \u2013 as they first wanted to know their child\u2019s gender.<\/p>\n

After Dingdong\u2019s guest appearance in GMA 7\u2019s Sunday All Stars, he was asked by reporters for updates on his baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cParte ng regular check-up, yung susunod na, hopefully ay malaman na [namin yung gender]. Hopefully, this week,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

(It\u2019s part of the regular check-up, on the next, hopefully, we\u2019d know the gender then. Hopefully, this week.)<\/p>\n

When asked in a separate interview about what gender he preferred, the actor-host honestly had no preference.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know… It\u2019s hard to plan pagdating sa mga bagay na ganyan. Kung anuman yung idinidikta ng excitement, \u2018di ba?\u00a0 Hindi natin alam,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

(I don\u2019t know\u2026 It\u2019s hard to plan when it comes to things like that. Whatever excitement dictates, right? We don\u2019t know.)<\/p>\n

\u201cGaya ng sinasabi namin parati, talagang ang mahalaga, e, healthy siya at lumaking mabuti. So, sa ngayon, wala muna kaming hinihiling. Kung ano ang ibigay ng Panginoon, we will be very grateful,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

(Like what we always say, what\u2019s really important is that the child grows healthy and good. So, as of now, we are not asking for anything more. Whatever the Lord gives, we will be very grateful.)<\/p>\n

In an earlier interview with the couple, Marian stated that she did not want to immediately announce the gender of their baby to the public as she wanted to \u2018feel the moment\u2019 first.<\/p>\n

The actress shared, however, that she wanted to include \u201cJose\u201d in the name of their child should it be a boy, and \u201cMaria\u201d in the name should it be a girl.<\/p>\n

\u201cPero mas maganda talagang umpisahan yung pag-iisip ng mga posibleng pangalan kapag nandiyan na talaga at alam na namin [ang gender],\u201d Dingdong said.<\/p>\n

(But it is still best to start thinking of possible names when the baby\u2019s out already and when we already know the gender.)<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough hindi mo maiiwasan, siyempre dahil sa excitement, names are really coming up right now,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
