MANILA — Asia’s Got Talent finalist, Gerphil Flores described her fate in the first edition of ABS-CBN’s “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2010 as a “blessing in disguise.”<\/p>\n

\u201cMasaya na ako sa naging resulta. Saka malayo na rin yung narating ko sa \u2018Pilipinas Got Talent.\u2019 Isa rin po siyang blessing in disguise,\u201d she said during\u00a0the homecoming press conference for the Pinoy \u201cAsia\u2019s Got Talent\u201d finalists on Thursday.<\/p>\n

(I’m happy with the results. I’ve come a long way from the ‘Pilipinas Got Talent.’ It’s one blessing in disguise.)<\/p>\n

Flores joined the local reality show before being a finalist for “Asia’s Got Talent.” She, however, failed to make it past the semifinals.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt saka napakadami ng natutunan ko sa \u2018Pilipinas Got Talent.\u2019 Isa po siya sa nagturo sa akin na bilang isang singer, kailangan maganda yung song choices mo,” she added.<\/p>\n

(I’ve learned a lot of things in ‘Pilipinas Got Talent.’ The competition taught me that as a singer , you need to have good song choices.)<\/p>\n

It could be noted that Kris Aquino, one of the judges in the competition, told her:<\/p>\n

“You have a beautiful face and a beautiful voice. Mag-aartista ka rin, alam namin. Pero sana kantahin mo rin ang age-appropriate because you’re 19. Sana yung mga kanta ni Charice.”<\/p>\n

(You have a beautiful face and a beautiful voice. We know that you will also enter showbusiness.\u00a0But we hope that you choose age-appropriate songs because you’re 19. We hope you pick Charice’ songs.)<\/p>\n

Flores also added that she has no ill feelings for\u00a0\u201cPilipinas Got Talent\u201d and its judges Kris Aquino, Ai Ai delas Alas and Freddie Garcia.<\/p>\n

\u201cGusto ko pong iparating sa kanila na wala akong sama ng loob sa kanila, she said.<\/p>\n
