MANILA — Internet users are right in their opinion about the country’s internet connection.<\/p>\n

Result of the latest Ookla Speedtest confirmed that the Philippines is one of the countries in the world with the slowest average broadband speeds.<\/p>\n

The speedtest compared the consumer download speeds from across the globe and showed that the country ranked only 176 out of 202 countries.<\/p>\n

The test conducted as of May 2015 indicated that the average download speed in the country is only at\u00a03.64 Megabit per second (Mbps), the second lowest among Asian countries in the index.<\/p>\n

The broadband speed was also recorded to be below the global average of\u00a023.3 Mbps.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the speedtest results showed that\u00a0Singapore ranked 1st on the index with a\u00a0broadband speed of 122.43 Mbps, followed by Hong Kong with 102.96 Mbps and Saint Pierre and Miquelon with 97.11 Mbps.<\/p>\n
