We respect the judgement of the President,\u201d PNP spokesperson Senior Superintendent Bartolome Tobias told media.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the PNP will respect whatever Aquino&#8217;s decision will be specially in the appointment of the new PNP chief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe leave it to the President since he has the widest discretion to choose and appoint the PNP chief,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Aquino on Wednesday said\u00a0in a radio interview that some officials have been denigrating each other in a bid to advance to the vacant post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKadalasan mainit sa PNP. Kapag merong natutunugan na papalit, kayo sa Bombo, palagay parati kayong pinapadalhan ng kung anu-anong panira sa isa\u2019t isa,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>(More often when they get reports that someone will be promoted, perhaps the same in your company, you are often sent materials coming from them criticizing each other.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo give a fair chance to everybody, gusto ko namang manigurado na \u2018yung i-a-appoint natin ay \u2018yung biktima lang ba ng tsismis o talagang may base itong mga reklamong ito, dahil hindi biro \u2018yung puwestong \u2018yan, lalo na dahil may eleksyon tayo next year na napakaimportante \u2018nung chief PNP na mapangalagaan \u2018yung katahimikan sa buong bansa.
