(Facebook photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA \u2013 A certain Prasertsi Kosin, a Thailand national living in the Philippines, was criticized after making \u2018racist\u2019 comments against Filipinos on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Kosin, with the name Koko Narak on Facebook, referred to Filipinos as \u2018pignoys,\u2019 \u2018stupid creatures,\u2019 \u2018low-class slum slaves\u2019 and \u2018useless race in this world\u2019 on his comments in the ASEAN Community Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>He also described the Filipino food as \u2018stupid tasting\u2019 and said that Filipinos were better off working as \u2018maids and toilet lickers.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Due to the incident, the 32-year-old Thai national may face deportation as the Bureau of Immigration (BI) had already filed undesirability and deportation charges against him.<\/p>\n<p>Kosin has been staying the Philippines for three years now, working at Cognizant Philippines, a business process outsourcing company. Cognizant Philippines had already penalized him for his unacceptable behavior and actions online.<\/p>\n<p>For his defense, Kosin clarified that he only made such remarks out of his \u2018playfulness\u2019 and that he did not intend to \u2018hurt the hearts of Filipinos.\u2019 He then apologized for his insensitive comments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo All Filipinos on this page! This is my great sorrow to inform you that I am very sorry what I\u2019ve done or posted the racist comments wheter on the Asean page or my personal facebook. No matter the comments I have done are either from my intention or my playfullness. Kindly accept my apology [sic],\u201d Kosin wrote in his apology, unedited.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the first sight of my intention to join this page, I came across just to do the debate only. I didn\u2019t mean to hurt your heart Filipinos. Surprisingly, mosts of my debates on the page hurt you because of my imaturity. This is my sincere apology to all of you Filipinos. What I would like to inform you is, I am not feeling scared of the post or the blog. But I am feeling scared of brokening all Filipinos\u2019 heart here.
