Skyrocketing airfares during the peak season is discouraging domestic tourists to come and explore this city and its natural wonders, as well as other beautiful sites in Palawan, said City Councilor and Tourism Committee Chair Matthew Mendoza.<\/p>\n<p>Because of this, and through a resolution that has been referred to his committee, Mendoza is planning to ask the Mayor Lucilo Bayron to consider entering into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with airline companies for special promo fares that also has the advantage to promote Puerto Princesa.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative, Mendoza told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) Monday, was an effective way to attract tourists &#8212;
