De Lima on Monday appealed to the critics to avoid any speculation that there was a \u201cwhite wash\u201d in the investigation by the Board of Inquiry (BOI) about the Mamasapano clash.<\/p>\n<p>De Lima said such speculation was unfair and it would be better to just wait for the release of the BOI findings before making any comments.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, because of the delay in the BOI report, De Lima said that the report of the DOJ-NBI investigating team might also be delayed such that the BOI report was one of the bases of the team in its recommendation.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ has set the April 2, 2015 as deadline for the submission of the report of the investigating team.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, De Lima also said that she understood that the BOI had asked for an extension of time, rather than submit a \u201chalf-baked\u201d report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212; Justice Secretary Leila M.
