MANILA – Maricar Sebastian, mother of popular Filipino \u201cYouTuber\u201d Jam Sebastian,\u00a0 said\u00a0 in an interview with ABS-CBN News on Thursday that her son did not deserve to die in such a painful way.<\/p>\n

Jam, one half of the popular YouTube couple tandem Jamich, was laid to rest at the Manila Memorial in Para\u00f1aque City on March 8.\u00a0 Her succumbed to lung cancer on March 4,\u00a0 some months after diagnosis.<\/p>\n

“Hindi niya kasi deserve ‘yung namatay siya na naghirap. Okay lang sana kung namatay siya ng hindi man lang nagbago ‘yung mukha niya. ‘Yung sobrang pinahirapan siya, yun ang hindi ko ma-take,” Jam’s mother said.<\/p>\n

Although doctors were unable to give an exact cause of the ailment \u2013 especially given the fact that Jam was not a smoker \u2013 Mrs. Sebastian said that it may have been a result of exposure to second hand smoke..<\/p>\n

“Kasi mayroon siyang two days na nasa casino na walang uwian. Hindi ko alam iyon. That time akala ko nasa bahay lang siya ng girlfriend niya,” she said.<\/p>\n

When asked what she would say to her son, if she could speak with him, she answered: “Ngayon masaya ka na kasi wala ng pain, wala ng depression, kasama mo na si Lord.\u201d
\nMami-miss ko siya ng sobra. Sabi ko nga, ikaw na ang magiging guardian angel namin. Lagi mo kaming i-guide,\u201d she tearfully added.<\/p>\n
