MANILA — Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano on Tuesday said that the government knows that the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) has been coddling\u00a0Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir, also known as Marwan.<\/p>\n

He added that he had evidence \u00a0and will continue gathering evidence to prove this claim.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gathering evidence and we already have\u00a0preliminary evidence that the government knew and the government\u00a0knows that the MILF was coddling Marwan,\u201d Cayetano told reporters in an interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo hindi totoo na wala silang<\/em> conclusion at hindi totoo na hindi alam ng gobyerno na<\/em> MILF ang nagka<\/em>-coddle kay<\/em> Marwan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

(Therefore it is not true that they do not have any conclusion and that the government do not know that the MILF is coddling Marwan.)<\/p>\n

The senator added that he will be disclosing the evidences to the public at a proper time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a few days, we will complete our research but as early as now, I\u00a0can tell you that we have evidence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

However, the senator refused to give details when asked up to what level was government’s knowledge of MILF’s offer of protection to Marwan.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me complete the research but (the information is) very, very glaring.”<\/p>\n

The senator made the statement following the expression of his disappointment over the reported agreement of the House of Representatives and the Senate leaders to pass the\u00a0proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law by June this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
