Elmer E. Panotes implied the possibility of Calaguas to become a tourist attraction during a hearing with the House Special Committee on Bicol Recovery and Development.<\/p>\n<p>Panotes claimed that Calaguas, with its white sand beach and pristine water, is more beautiful than the Boracay island of Aklan.<\/p>\n<p>One of Panotes&#8217; sentiment was the lack of facilities to make Calaguas a top tourist spot.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need the assistance of Philippine Port Authority forconstruction of ports in the island,&#8221; Panotes said.<\/p>\n<p>Panotes sought the help of NEDA in setting projects to improve tourism in Camarines Norte.<\/p>\n<p>Calaguas is a group of islands in the Camarines Norte.
