Photo courtesy of @HBOboxing on Twitter

MANILA – Undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. says that Filipino champion Manny Pacquaio cannot decide on the terms for their fight because he is under Top Rank Promotions.

Last week, Top Rank head honcho Bob Arum already confirmed that they have agreed to all of Mayweather’s terms, including the long-debated split on pot money.

In his recent interviews, Pacquiao also confirmed Arum’s statements saying that all they need is Mayweather’s signature.

However, Mayweather took no regard of Pacquiao’s comments.

“Hopefully, it’s Mayweather-Pacquiao (on May 2nd),” said Mayweather during an interview. “Of course, we are trying to make the fight happen between me and Pacquiao. Are we negotiating? Absolute, we are negotiating.”

He added, “But Pacquiao said that he agreed to everything. What did you agree to? You have no say so. You have a boss. You don’t have no say so. You have a boss, that’s called Top Rank Promotions. It’s not called Pacquiao Promotions. With my company, it’s called Mayweather Promotions.”

While Mayweather said that they are trying to make the first happen, he also mentioned that the talks have been “extremely difficult.”

“It’s not Pacquiao, it’s his promoter. A lot of times, when Pacquiao says, ‘I agreed’ – you don’t have nothing to do with this; you’re not a boss,” said Mayweather. “On a chess board, you’re a pawn.”

Mayweather also couldn’t stop making another comment at Pacquaio’s low pay-per-view revenue. He took a jab at the Pacquaio-Chris Algieri fight saying that the buys barely reached 300,000.

“No matter what you say, Floyd Mayweather still winning. When they take shots at Floyd Mayweather, he still winning and making hundreds of millions,” said Mayweather.

Negotiations to make the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight have been going on and have fallen apart several times because of certain demands from the American boxer’s camp.

MANILA – Undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. says that Filipino champion Manny Pacquaio cannot decide on the terms for …

[44

post-39481","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-sports","mauthors-lei-fontamillas","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer
["GET
