Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Stephen Harper (@pmharper) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pmharper\/status\/552806330483109888\">January 7, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>OTTAWA &#8212; Canada&#8217;s political leaders are taking to Twitter to condemn a deadly attack on a Paris newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Reports say masked gunmen stormed the office of a satirical newspaper Wednesday and killed a dozen people before escaping.<\/p>\n<p>A tweet from Prime Minister Stephen Harper&#8217;s account says he is horrified by what he calls barbaric attacks in France.<\/p>\n<p>NDP Leader Tom Mulcair tweeted that he is shocked and disgusted by the mass shooting, calling the act senseless violence.<\/p>\n<p>And in his tweet, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau condemned the attacks, offering condolences and support to the people of France, the victims and their families.<\/p>\n<p>French President Francois Hollande called the attack on the Charlie Hebdo weekly, whose caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad have frequently drawn condemnation from Muslims, &#8220;a terrorist attack without a doubt.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>With files from The Associated Press<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m horrified by the barbaric attacks in France.
