MANILA \u2013 The Senate blue ribbon subcommittee will resume on Jan. 22 its inquiry into the alleged overpriced Makati City Hall building 2 and other related anomalies purportedly committed during the time of former Makati City mayor and now Vice President Jejomar Binay.<\/p>\n

\u201dThere are more allegations of corruption in Makati that we have to tackle in the committee,\u201d Trillanes said in phone patch interview at the Senate.<\/p>\n

Trillanes assured that the new allegation of corruption is covered by the Senate Resolution 826 seeking probe on the reported overpriced of the 22-storey Makati City hall building and other related anomalies.<\/p>\n

\u201dThis allegation of anomaly is different from the overpriced parking building, Makati Science High School and Hacienda Binay in Batangas,\u201d Trillanes said.<\/p>\n

In the same media interview, Trillanes said that he received information that Binay was also being investigated by \u201cconcerned government agencies\u201d over an alleged anomaly similar to controversial Globe Asiatique of Delfin Lee involving Pag-IBIG funds.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe information reveals that Binay is giving mass housing projects to the favored contractors,\u201d Trillanes said.<\/p>\n

Binay is the concurrent chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).<\/p>\n

Trillanes said he also received information that Binay has been receiving half of the profits from the mass housing projects of the favored contractors.<\/p>\n

The senator, however, clarified that the anomalies involving Pag-IBIG Funds will not be covered by the Senate inquiry into the allegations of corruption in Makati City.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
