The new morning trip will leave Cooksville at approximately 9 a.m. and arrive at Union Station at 9:30 a.m. The new evening trip will leave Union Station at 3:40 p.m. and arrive in Milton at 4:38 p.m.

“The announcement this morning is really great news for Mississauga commuters,” said MPP Dipika Damerla. “During the recent election I promised to add more trains on the Milton line. I have been working with the Ministry of Transportation to add additional trains on the Milton line for some time now and I am absolutely delighted that starting January 5 there will be two new trains. I look forward to being on the inaugural train at Cooksville.”‎

The additional train trips will reduce crowding on the Milton line, provide customers with more travel options and enhance the customer experience. These additions will benefit commuters in Milton, Halton Hills, Brampton, Mississauga, Etobicoke and Toronto.

Building public transit and creating jobs is part of the government’s economic plan for Ontario. The four part plan is building Ontario up by investing in people’s talents and skills, building new public infrastructure like roads and transit, creating a dynamic, supportive environment where business thrives, and building a secure savings plan so everyone can afford to retire.

Go train MISSISSAUGA – The provincial government is making it easier for commuters to take public transit in Mississauga by …

[1481

post-37068","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news-comm
["GET
