Chalk it up to low production costs, a climate conducive to all-year shooting and one heck of a good-looking city \u2013 whatever the case, Vancouver is a hit with TV and movie producers and, by extension, movie stars.<br \/>\nAnimation and digital film production thrive here, too.\u00a0<i>Life of Pi<\/i>,\u00a0<i>District 9<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Sherlock Holmes<\/i>\u00a0and<i>Cloud Atlas<\/i>\u00a0are among the major blockbusters whose digital effects were completed in Vancouver, and the worldwide phenomenon\u00a0<i>Angry Birds<\/i>\u00a0is flocking to the city for development as it makes its way to the big screen in 2016. We\u2019ve also got plenty of small screen productions on the go, including\u00a0<i>Arrow<\/i>,<i>Continuum<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Once Upon a Time<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Supernatural<\/i>\u00a0and more. Naturally, the city is a fertile sandbox for actors and writers: Michael J. Fox, Ryan Reynolds and Joshua Jackson all grew up in Vancouver, as did writing partners Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, who wrote the film\u00a0<i>Superbad<\/i>\u00a0about their experiences here as teens.<\/p>\n<p>Recent feature films shot in Vancouver include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<b><i>RoboCop<\/i>.<\/b>\u00a0 Starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton and Samuel L.
