(Photo by Benhur Arcayan Malaca\u00f1ang Photo Bureau)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA \u2013 President Benigno Aquino III prefers the Liberal Party to focus on issues rather than personalities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBottom line is we think the political process can be further matured if we shift from being a party of personalities to a party of issues,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>While in South Korea, Aquino said that he wishes the people to express support to the party\u2019s candidates not because of who that candidate is but because of what the party had achieved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that we the LP and those who joined us in the coalition have produced a product that has redounded to good benefits accruing to the people and they would want to perpetuate the same. So regardless of the personality, they will support the candidate of the administration,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The statement was made following reports on the dismal ratings of the party\u2019s presumptive standard bearer, Interior Secretary Mar Roxas.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from Roxas, Sen.
