MANILA — Six provinces are without power due to the devastation of Typhoon “Ruby”, said the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The provinces without power are Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Sorsogon, Leyte, Iloilo and Bohol.<\/p>\n

Based on the NGCP’s 3:00 p.m. update, the provinces have been left without power due to the following electric cooperatives in the areas affected by the typhoon — NORSAMLECO, ESAMELCO, SOLECO, DORELCO, SAMELCO, BILECO, LEYECO 2, LEYECO 3, LEYECO 4, LEYECO 5, ILECO 3, BOHECO and BOHECO 2.<\/p>\n

The eleco’s 69 kilovolt (kv) and 138 kv transmission lines were affected by “Ruby”.<\/p>\n

Other transmission lines which were affected by the typhoon are the 350 kv Ormoc-Cabacungan line, 230 kv Daanbantayan-Tabango Submarine Cable Line 2, 230 kv Tabango-Kananga Line 1, 138 kv Ormoc-Tongonan line and the 138 kv Babatngon-Paranas line.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the NGCP has already restored power in QUEZELCO, ALINDECO, BOHECO, BOHECO 2, with some parts of LEYECO 3.<\/p>\n
