Filipino-American was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the highest-rank served by a Fil-Am in the United States government.<\/p>\n<p>Nani Coloretti\u2019s confirmation by the US Senate \u201cattests to her excellent record and more than 20 years of experience in management, budget and finance,\u201d according to National Federation of Filipino-American Associations (NaFFAA) National Chairman JT Mallonga.<\/p>\n<p>Coloretti has served as Deputy Assistant in the Department of Treasury and later as Assistant Secretary for Management and Budget.<\/p>\n<p>She also worked in the San Francisco Mayor\u2019s Office for four years prior to her appointment at the Treasury Department.<\/p>\n<p>Coloretti also worked in the city\u2019s
