He added that the Binays will not receive just treatment from the senators whom he mentioned.

“The Vice President doesn’t want to face the subcommittee hearing, which we dubbed as ‘circus-like’ probe, because of what the three senators are doing. We expect that they will allow those people who will say something bad against the Vice President while those who will defend him will be barred from talking,” said Bautista.“Now, the possibility of the Vice President attending the subcommittee probe is getting slim,” he added.

The Senate Blue Ribbon committee, headed by Sen. Teofisto Guingona III, already extended an invitation to Binay to attend its probe.

Bautista noted that Guingona already asked Pimentel to give way to the mother committee hearing held last October 30 to which the latter ignored.

He commented that the three senators are “uncontrollable” by the head of the mother committee.

“Last October 30, they were like (Adolf) Hitler. When they say us they turned off the microphone and they did not listen to us, we were thrown out by the Senate sergeant-at-arms. In the first place, Toby Tiangco should not be treated like that,” shared Bautista. “Based on our observation on the way things are done, the Vice President is not too keen in attending the (hearing of) the mother committee. Because apparently, Senator Guingona cannot constrain these out of control senators,” he said.

Bautista added that Binay wants to avoid such scenarios from happening.

Meanwhile, Binay’s spokesperson Joey Salgado said that the Vice President is willing to attend the Blue Ribbon probe given that it will be done in a fair and objective manner.

He noted that Binay still has not made a decision yet whether he will attend the Senate Blue Ribbon committee hearing on November 6.

“He is inclined to attend but let’s wait for his final decision,” said Salgado.

MANILA – Vice President Jejomar Binay’s camp are now looking for ways on how to prevent the Senate from further …

[95
5038
post-30460","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news-ph","tag-binay","mauthors-lei-fontamillas","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer
["GET
