time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dIt is important for the public to know that the government has already identified our traffic congestion problem and we have prepared concrete solutions that will start soon,\u201d Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio \u2018Sonny\u2019 Coloma said in an interview with Radio ng Bayan.<\/p>\n<p>Coloma said the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) submitted last Friday the proposed projects that will decongest traffic in different parts of Metro Manila.<\/p>\n<p>Coloma said some of the NEDA recommendations are the construction of interchange project in Quezon City and the underpass project along Gil Puyat in Makati City.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThe underpass will help to achieve smooth flow of traffic in two major intersections along Makati Avenue and Paseo de Roxas,\u201d Coloma said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will start the Gil Puyat-Makati Avenue-Paseo de Roxas vehicle underpass projects before 2015.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThe focus of our President Benigno Aquino III and his Cabinet is to continue performing their mandates in implementing reforms,\u201d Coloma assured.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dAlthough the details are not complete, we want to assure our countrymen that we have identified all these problems,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Other newly-proposed projects by NEDA include Metro Manila Interchange Construction Project Phase VI that will cover three places such as EDSA-North Avenue-West Avenue-Mindanao Avenue Interchange;
