MANILA \u2013 Actress and model Katrina Halili is single again, having recently parted ways with Filipino-American singer Kris Lawrence.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not prepared,\u201d Halili said, of her failed relationship with Lawrence; with whom she has a daughter named Katrence.<\/p>\n

\u201cI only see him now as a friend,\u201d Halili added, putting to rest questions on whether she and Lawrence would get back together.<\/p>\n

While she was reluctant divulge any more details about the break-up, Halili stressed that it was not due to third-party involvement.<\/p>\n

She was also quick to point out that both she and Lawrence are diligent with their responsibilities towards Katrence.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re both okay as parents. He still often goes to my house to visit our daughter,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Halili\u2019s world was rocked by a sex scandal involving Hayden Kho some years ago; an incident which she admits had a significant impact on her self-esteem.<\/p>\n

She added, though, that she is now more than ready to re-establish herself in her career, for the sake of her daughter.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really took myself for granted at the time. But now I\u2019m definitely more focused. I will be more aggressive in proving my mettle. I\u2019m doing this for my baby after all,\u201d said Katrina.<\/p>\n

As for future romantic relationships, she shared: \u201cI don\u2019t know but, at this point, I don\u2019t want to entertain any suitors. I want to stay on track. I don\u2019t want to lose my drive.\u201d<\/p>\n

A new movie, \u201cChild House\u201d, is in the pipeline for Katrina, who will play a mother role in the flick, as she did in her previous film, \u201cNi\u00f1o.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t mind playing mother roles. I really want to play different roles to better my abilities as an actress,\u201d Katrina said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
