MANILA \u2013 To give him more freedom to go against the administration, Vice President Jejomar Binay should just resign, according to a lawmaker belonging to the Liberal Party.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely, he (Binay) must get out of the Cabinet first so he can say whatever he wants to his heart\u2019s content,\u201d said Caloocan City Rep. Edgar Erice.<\/p>\n

Erice said Binay must decide once and for all if he is really for or against the administration adding that he must show up his \u201ctrue colors.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut knowing his (Binay) lack of delicadeza, I am sure he will not. He will surely regret losing out on the freebies given to a member of the Cabinet,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

During his speech on Tuesday, Binay slammed the administration for its hash and unfair treatment of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo adding that it violates the law.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Erice said he is still wondering why President Aquino still wants Binay in his cabinet, despite the Vice President\u2019s being a staunch critic of the administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not sure (why Aquino wanted Binay in the Cabinet). Maybe he just doesn\u2019t want \u2018na nagpapaawa na tinanggal sa Gabinete\u2019 (that Binay would eventually try to court public sympathy after being removed from the Cabinet),\u201d said Erice.<\/p>\n

He added that Binay\u2019s allegations against the president \u201cwere not new.\u201d<\/p>\n
