(PCI photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong> \u2013 The overall tally of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recoveries nationwide has risen to 430,490 with 533 new recovered cases reported on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Department of Health (DOH), the figure is equivalent to a 92.4-percent recovery rate among those who contracted the disease.<\/p>\n<p>In its latest case bulletin, the DOH also reported 1,776 new cases which brought the total number of active cases to 26,179.<\/p>\n<p>Of the active cases, about 81.4 percent are mild, 0.34 percent are moderate, 2.7 percent are severe, and 5.2 percent are in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>Quezon City topped the list of provinces and cities which logged the most number of new Covid-19 cases for the day with 126 infections.<\/p>\n<p>It is followed by Davao City with 121, Rizal with 94, Western Samar with 57, and Bulacan with 56 infections.<\/p>\n<p>A DOH data on Dec. 23 showed that about 1,412 or 6.2 percent out of the 22,721 tested turned positive for Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>The DOH also reported seven new deaths, bringing the death toll to 9,055.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;About 19 duplicates were removed from the total case count, and, of these, 15 recovered cases and a death have been removed.
