(ABS-CBN Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The much-awaited ABS-CBN project &#8220;Darna&#8221; is set to fly as a TV series in 2021 as announced in today&#8217;s special contract signing event titled &#8220;Star Magic Shines On&#8221; wherein several of today&#8217;s sought-after talents inked their respective contracts with ABS-CBN.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c<\/em><em>Tuloy na tuloy na po ang paglipad ni Darna. Ngayong 2021 na po\u00a0ang\u00a0<\/em>Mars Ravelo\u2019s \u2018Darna: The TV Series,\u201d said Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN chief operating officer of broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>She\u00a0also announced that Jane de Leon will portray the iconic Filipino superheroine in the TV series\u00a0during the event, wherein\u00a0Jane renewed her contract with Star Magic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m overwhelmed by the happiness I feel.\u00a0I am so excited for the next chapters of my life,\u201d Jane said.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s another dream come true. I have so much gratitude for our bosses because until now, they still entrust me with Darna\u2019s stone,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from Jane, the artists who renewed their ties with ABS-CBN today include the Millennial Multimedia Idol Kim Chiu, leading men Enchong Dee, JM De Guzman, and Joseph Marco, MYX VJ and host Robi Domingo, and teen actresses Andrea Brillantes and Kira Balinger. They are joined by Star Hunt\u2019s newest P-Pop groups, \u201cBINI\u201d and \u201cSHA Boys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kim, who led Star Cinema&#8217;s horror offering \u201cU-Turn,\u201d will star in a new series titled \u201cBawal Lumabas\u201d under Dreamscape Entertainment set to be released on December 14. She is currently hosting \u201cIt\u2019s Showtime\u201d and can be watched regularly on \u201cASAP Natin \u2018To.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPinoy Big Brother Connect\u201d host, Netflix film \u201cAlter Me\u201d top-biller, and \u201cEnrich\u201d other half Enchong will star in an upcoming inspirational series titled \u201cHuwag Kang Mangamba\u201d with Gold Squad member Andrea. Joining them are the other Gold Squad artists namely Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, and Seth Fedelin.<\/p>\n<p>JM, who last starred in \u201cPamilya Ko,\u201d is geared to be back on television with a new series titled \u201cInit sa Magdamag\u201d with Gerald Anderson and Yam Concepcion. The teleserye will fire up the television this 2021. Fans can also watch him in an upcoming Star Cinema movie.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Joseph, who recently joined the \u201cAng Sa Iyo Ay Akin\u201d cast, will be part of two Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entries this year.<\/p>\n<p>Robi is currently hosting \u201cPinoy Big Brother Connect,\u201d which will kick-off this Sunday (December 6) on Kapamilya Online Live, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z channel 11, and Kumu. Aside from PBB, he is also the host of \u201cGame KNB?\u201d which streams worldwide across multiple platforms including TFC, TFC IPTV, and on the streaming app Kumu through the @gknb account.<\/p>\n<p>Kira, who plays Hope in \u201cAng Sa Iyo Ay Akin,\u201d also signed up with Star Magic. Fans of Kira and Grae Fernandez can expect to watch the \u201cKiRae\u201d loveteam in a teleserye and online project to be announced soon.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Star Hunt\u2019s\u00a0new\u00a0girl group \u201cBINI\u201d and rising talented boy group \u201cSHA Boys\u201d also signed up to be part of Star Magic. Comprising \u201cBINI\u201d are Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena; while the \u201cSHA Boys\u201d include Gelo, Mikki, Akira, Nate and JL.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBINI\u201d recently wowed the\u00a0<em>madlang pipol<\/em>\u00a0with its \u201cDa Coconut Nut\u201d video\u00a0number on the \u201cIt\u2019s Showtime\u201d Facebook\u00a0page that\u00a0has garnered almost 3 million views. The official music video of their single is now available on the BINI TV YouTube channel.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the \u201cSHA Boys\u201d recently made waves online as they performed their energetic and electrifying version of some of Sarah Geronimo\u2019s hit songs including \u201cTala\u201d and \u201cKilometro\u201d on the \u201cASAP Natin \u2018To\u201d stage.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez thanked the artists for their trust and expressed optimism for the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a new year is about to begin, we remain hopeful and positive with our artists, our ABS-CBN leaders, our employees, and most especially our loyal followers.
