(Pexels photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This November, Canadian provinces continued inviting hopeful immigrants to go to the next round of the immigration process.<br \/>\n<span id=\"more-16407\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/provincial-nomination-program.html\">Provincial Nominee Program<\/a>\u00a0(PNP), which began modestly in 1998 with the admission of approximately 200 people to Canada, will now see the intake of over 80,000 new permanent residents every year. At least 3,744 immigration candidates received invitations through a provincial immigration program this past month.<\/p>\n<p>The PNP allows participating Canadian provinces and territories to select a set number of economic immigrants each year and nominate them for permanent residence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bottom-btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/assess\/canada-immigration-assessment-form.htm?utm_source=CICNews&amp;utm_medium=Article&amp;utm_campaign=CIC-20201130novemberpnp\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Get a free Canadian immigration assessment<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are currently more than 80 PNP streams in 11 provinces and territories, and each stream is designed to target immigrants who meet the specific labour market and economic needs of those regions.<\/p>\n<p>In most participating provinces and territories, there is now at least one PNP stream that is aligned with the federal Express Entry system, which is Canada\u2019s primary source of economic immigration.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry-linked PNP streams, also referred to as \u2018Enhanced\u2019 PNPs, allow a province to select Express Entry candidates and invite them to apply for a provincial nomination. These streams allow provinces to nominate candidates in the federal Express Entry system, which manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada\u2019s main economic immigration categories\u2014the\u00a0<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/federal-skilled-worker-program-fswp.html#gs.79vel5\">Federal Skilled Worker Class<\/a><\/u>,\u00a0<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canada-federal-skilled-trades-program-fstc.html#gs.79vgaq\">Federal Skilled Trades Class<\/a><\/u>\u00a0and\u00a0<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html#gs.79vfyx\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates who are nominated by a province or territory are awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System score.<\/p>\n<p>PNP streams that operate outside of Express Entry referred to as \u2018Base\u2019 PNPs, can also nominate candidates, who then pursue permanent residence outside of the Express Entry system.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an overview of provincial program updates and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/provincial-nominee-program-draws.html#gs.kg1fqb\">rounds of invitation<\/a>\u00a0from the month of November:<\/p>\n<h3>British Columbia<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>invited 360 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through five streams of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/british-columbia-provincial-nominee-program.html\">BC PNP<\/a>\u00a0on November 24.<\/li>\n<li>invited 76 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP on November 17. This was a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/bc-pnp-tech-pilot.html\">Tech Pilot<\/a>\u00a0draw.<\/li>\n<li>invited 358 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP on November 10.<\/li>\n<li>invited 76 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP on November 3. This was a Tech Pilot draw.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Manitoba<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0invited 196 candidates, including 40 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-provincial-nominee-program.html\">MPNP<\/a>\u00a0under three MPNP streams on November 19.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0invited 205 candidates, including 7 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under three MPNP streams on November 5.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Newfoundland and Labrador<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/newfoundland-provincial-nominee-program.html\">NLPNP<\/a>\u00a0is creating a new PNP stream, Priority Skills Newfoundland and Labrador, targeting highly educated and skilled individuals with experience in the province\u2019s in-demand sectors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Ontario<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>opened the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-employer-job-offer-international-student-stream.html\">Employer Job Offer: International Student stream<\/a>\u00a0for an intake period on November 26 and closed the intake period due to technical difficulties.<\/li>\n<li>reached the intake limit for its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-employer-job-offer-in-demand-skills-stream.html\">Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills<\/a>\u00a0stream for 2020 on November 16. No additional registrations will be accepted until further notice.<\/li>\n<li>issued 443 notifications of interest to Express Entry candidates through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-express-entry-human-capital-priorities-stream.html\">Human Capital Priorities stream<\/a>\u00a0on November 12. Nine occupations were eligible.<\/li>\n<li>announced that the Ontario Regional Immigration Pilot had reached its intake quota for 2020 on November 5. Applications will resume in 2021.<\/li>\n<li>issued 726 invitations to Express Entry candidates today through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream.html\">French-Speaking Skilled Worker<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-express-entry-skilled-trades-stream.html\">Skilled Trades streams<\/a>\u00a0of the OINP on November 4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Prince Edward Island<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>invited 221 candidates to apply through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/prince-edward-island-provincial-nominee-program.html#LabourImpactCategory\">Labour<\/a>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/pei-pnp-express-entry.html\">Express Entry streams<\/a>. A further 33 invitations were issued in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/prince-edward-island-business-impact-category.html\">Business Work Permit Entrepreneur<\/a>\u00a0category. Both draws were held on November 19.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Saskatchewan<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>introduced 10 new points available in the SINP ranking system for candidates who speak both French and English on November 24. These changes impact the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html\">Occupations In-Demand<\/a>\u00a0streams of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/saskatchewan-provincial-nominee-program.html\">SINP<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>invited 551 candidates from the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP on November 19. Only certain occupations were considered.<\/li>\n<li>invited 532 candidates from the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP.
