(Pexels photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nova Scotia issued new invitations to apply for a nomination for Canadian permanent residence through its Express Entry-linked Labour Market Priorities immigration stream on December 1.<br \/>\n<span id=\"more-16457\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/nova-scotia-provincial-nominee-program.html?_ga=2.50758569.1226687466.1606756248-242276367.1576891811\">\u00a0Nova Scotia Nominee Program<\/a>\u00a0(NSNP) did not specify how many invitations were issued in the draw.<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/nova-scotia-express-entry-labour-market-priorities.html?_ga=2.265727887.1226687466.1606756248-242276367.1576891811\">\u00a0Labour Market Priorities Stream<\/a>\u00a0allows the NSNP to search the federal\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html?_ga=2.265727887.1226687466.1606756248-242276367.1576891811\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0pool for candidates who meet labour market needs in the province. Past draws through the stream have targeted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cicnews.com\/2020\/10\/nova-scotia-pnp-invites-programmers-and-media-developers-1016137.html#gs.mcfpa6\">programmers and media developers<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cicnews.com\/2020\/09\/nova-scotia-pnp-invites-automotive-industry-workers-0915891.html\">automotive industry workers<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cicnews.com\/2020\/05\/nova-scotia-invites-nurses-in-new-labour-market-priorities-draw-0514434.html#gs.mcj546\">nurses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The invitations issued December 1 went to eligible Express Entry candidates who have a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer for full-time skilled work in Nova Scotia. The offer of employment must be for a period of at least one year after the permanent resident visa is issued. The term \u201cfull-time\u201d means working year-round and at least 30 hours per week.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must also have one year of skilled, job-related work experience and have a Canadian secondary school diploma or the equivalent.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly,\u00a0 the draw targeted Express Entry candidates who have a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-language-benchmark-clb-descriptions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canadian Language Benchmark<\/a>\u00a0(CLB) score of 5 or higher in French or English.<\/p>\n<p>Those who received a letter of invitation in today\u2019s draw now have 30 calendar days to submit a complete application to NSNP.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must include a copy of language tests, proof of education and of a job offer with their application.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bottom-btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/assess\/canada-immigration-assessment-form.htm?utm_source=CICNews&amp;utm_medium=Article&amp;utm_campaign=CIC-20201201NSDraw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Get a Free Express Entry Assessment<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Candidates invited from Express Entry pool<\/h3>\n<p>In order to be considered for a provincial nomination from Nova Scotia through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-language-benchmark-clb-descriptions.html\">Labour Market Priorities Stream<\/a>, candidates first need to have a profile in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\">Express Entry system<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry manages applications for Canadian permanent residence through three federal immigration programs:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/federal-skilled-worker-program-fswp.html\">Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/a>\u00a0(FSWP),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canada-federal-skilled-trades-program-fstc.html\">Federal Skilled Trades Program<\/a>\u00a0(FSTP), and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a>\u00a0(CEC).<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates are ranked on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS).
