While Black Friday will be different this year, Walmart Canada is committed to delivering a revamped series of online and in-store events, more than a thousand items at low prices, all while ensuring a convenient and safe customer shopping experience.<\/p>\n<p><b>Reinvented Black Friday<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This year,\u00a0<span class=\"Enhancement\"><span class=\"Enhancement-item\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walmart.ca\/en\/gifts-holidays\/black-friday\/N-4690\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Black Friday<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0deals will be spread out over a series of events to bring customers Walmart\u2019s best prices of the season in a safe and responsible way. Each savings event will begin online at Walmart.ca and continue in Walmart\u2019s more than 400 stores from coast-to-coast. Customers will find Walmart exclusives, online deals, and new this year, contactless tap payment at the checkout and the option to pick up online Black Friday purchases through Walmart\u2019s contactless, free pickup at store. Additionally, customers can download the mobile\u00a0<span class=\"Enhancement\"><span class=\"Enhancement-item\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walmart.ca\/en\/mobileapp\/online-shopping\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">app<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0to stay up to date about deals, special offers and more.<\/p>\n<p><b>Black Friday Events:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>1. Gaming console releases<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Releasing\u00a0<span class=\"Enhancement\"><span class=\"Enhancement-item\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walmart.ca\/en\/video-games\/microsoft-xbox-series-x-series-s\/N-8972\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Microsoft Xbox Series X<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(Nov. 10) and\u00a0<span class=\"Enhancement\"><span class=\"Enhancement-item\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walmart.ca\/en\/video-games\/playstation-5\/N-8971\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sony PS5<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(Nov. 12) exclusively online at Walmart.ca<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0<b>Black Friday Early Deals:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Thursday, Nov. 19, in-store and online<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0<b>Toy and Video Game Event<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 9 p.m. EST on Walmart.ca<br \/>\n\u00b7 The event will continue in-store at 7 a.m. local time on Nov. 26.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0<b>Black Friday 2020 Main Event:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Thursday, Nov. 26 from 9 p.m. EST on Walmart.ca<br \/>\n\u00b7 Doors open Friday, Nov. 27 at 7 a.m. local time.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0<b>Cyber Monday 2020 Event:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Additional online exclusive deals for\u00a0<span class=\"Enhancement\"><span class=\"Enhancement-item\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walmart.ca\/en\/gifts-holidays\/cyber-monday\/N-4673\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cyber Monday<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0event, effective Monday, Nov. 30.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite these challenging times, customers trust Walmart to deliver an amazing Black Friday and this year is no exception,\u201d said Kieran Shanahan, Walmart Canada\u2019s Chief Merchandising Officer. \u201cWe take great pride in being Canadians&#8217; #1 choice to save money on holiday shopping. We will continue to take measures to support the well-being of our customers and associates, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased cleaning throughout the store.<\/li>\n<li>Wellness checks that include a temperature check for all associates at the start of each shift.<\/li>\n<li>Limiting the number of customers shopping in the store at one time.<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning shopping carts.<\/li>\n<li>Encouraging regular handwashing.<\/li>\n<li>Regular cleaning of work areas (including checkouts).<\/li>\n<li>Installed plexi-glass dividers at registers, customer service desks and in our pharmacies.<\/li>\n<li>Introduced floor markings and one-way aisles to create physical distancing.<\/li>\n<li>Mandatory masks for customers and associates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To help provide a safe Black Friday in-store shopping experience Walmart is introducing additional safety measures including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assigning Walmart associates to monitor capacity within key departments during peak shopping times.<\/li>\n<li>More sanitization stations in key departments and areas of the store.<\/li>\n<li>Contact-free pickup and delivery on online orders of $35 or more.<\/li>\n<li>Top items strategically placed around the store and more open space left between features to support social distancing.<\/li>\n<li>Mobile checkouts will be available so customers can pay for their purchases anywhere in the store.<\/li>\n<li>All checkouts open during peak times on weekends to promote physical distancing.<\/li>\n<li>At select stores, customers can skip the line by using a new feature on the Walmart app to reserve a shopping time.
