(RAV\/PIA 1)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The grant of hazard pay to government workers is not applicable in areas under the general community quarantine (MGCQ) like Metro Manila, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) clarified on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) guidelines clearly provide that hazard pay applies only in areas under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and modified ECQ.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cKlaro po iyong sa<\/em>\u00a0DBM. We follow DBM guidelines\u00a0<em>po, wala pong<\/em>\u00a0hazard. General rule\u00a0<em>sa lahat ng kawani ng gobyerno<\/em>\u00a0(The DBM is clear. We follow DBM guidelines, there is no hazard [pay]. General rule for all government workers) the hazard pay will apply during ECQ, MECQ,\u201d Lizada said in Laging Handa public briefing.<\/p>\n<p>Lizada, however, said there are government agencies that continuously grant hazard pay with or without the pandemic like the Philippine National Police (PNP) under Magna Carta of Public Health Workers.<\/p>\n<p>She said government employees may now physically report for work after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has started to lessen restrictions to reopen the economy.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPuwede hong magkaroon tayo ng<\/em>\u00a0several teams\u00a0<em>para ho mayroon ho tayong parating<\/em>\u00a0back-up.\u00a0<em>Puwede hong may mag<\/em>-morning\u00a0<em>na<\/em>\u00a0shift and then\u00a0<em>sa hapon po ay puwede po silang<\/em>\u00a0work from home, and vice versa (several teams may be formed to assure that there is always backup.
