MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 President Rodrigo Duterte has encouraged parents to get their children vaccinated to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.<\/p>\n

In a brief message aired in PTV-4, Duterte expressed support to the Department of Health (DOH) and its partners, the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund, as they hold the nationwide measles, rubella, and polio supplemental immunization activity.<\/p>\n

He said that the prevailing coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic should teach lessons about addressing such health issues.<\/p>\n
