Razon)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0At least 13 U-turn slots along Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) will soon be closed to give way to the extension of the EDSA Busway.<\/p>\n<p>During a Laging Handa briefing on Monday, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Arturo \u201cJojo\u201d Garcia said the U-turn slots will gradually close, with no exact dates yet on its implementation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Alam naman natin ang ginagawang bus lane nasa middle lane, so if ever na itutuloy na natin iyan ay maaapektuhan ang U-turn slots<\/em>\u00a0(We know that the EDSA bus lane is in the middle lanes, once it extends, U-turn slots will be affected),\u201d Garcia said.<\/p>\n<p>According to data released by the MMDA, these 13 EDSA U-turn slots are in Caloocan City, Quezon City, Makati City, and Pasay City.<\/p>\n<p>In Caloocan City, these include the U-turn slot in General Tinio, in De Jesus Street\/8th Street left turning, and in General Malvar \u2014 all located between Monumento Circle to Balintawak Cloverleaf.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll affected vehicles must take a turn at Monumento Circle (northbound to southbound) and Balintawak Cloverleaf (southbound to northbound) to destination,\u201d the MMDA said.<\/p>\n<p>It noted that vehicles coming from the North Luzon Expressway headed for or taking left at De Jesus\/8th Street must go straight and take A. Bonifacio Avenue, then right at C3\/Sgt. Rivera to their destination.<\/p>\n<p>In Quezon City, there are a total of seven U-turn slots that will soon be closed, all located between Balintawak Cloverleaf to Quezon Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>These are the Balintawak Market U-turn slot in front of BPI bank, Kaingin Road U-turn slot in front of Nissan, Congressional LRT Station U-turn slot in front of PANORAMA, Corregidor intersection\/Bansalangin U-turn slots, U-turn slots in front of Quezon City Academy, and North Avenue U-turn slots before MRT North Avenue Station.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll affected vehicles must take a U-turn at Balintawak Cloverleaf (northbound to southbound) and Quezon Avenue (southbound to northbound) towards destination,\u201d the MMDA said.<\/p>\n<p>The seventh and last U-turn slot in Quezon City that will soon close is the Santolan\/Boni Serrano U-turn in front of Camp Crame.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll affected vehicles along EDSA and coming from White Plains must take a u-turn using the service road\/intersection under Santolan flyover (northbound to southbound) to destination,\u201d the MMDA said.<\/p>\n<p>In Makati City, the U-turn slot under the Kalayaan Flyover will be closed and all affected vehicles coming from Guadalupe (southbound to northbound) must instead take a U-turn using the service road or intersection of EDSA\/Ayala Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>In Pasay City, the P.
