(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HouseofRepsPH\/photos\/a.10154382244547271\/10157034325067271\">Photo:<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HouseofRepsPH\/\">House of Representatives\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The House Committee on Appropriations on Wednesday deferred the deliberations on the proposed PHP1.59-billion 2021 budget of the Presidential Communications Operations Office\u2019s (PCOO) over the supposed \u201cred-tagging\u201d of Makabayan bloc lawmakers by one of the agency\u2019s officials.<\/p>\n<p>ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro raised the motion to suspend the PCOO\u2019s budget hearing due to Communications Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy\u2019s recent statement accusing her and other Makabayan lawmakers as \u201chigh-ranking officials of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People\u2019s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Badoy also serves as spokesperson of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).<\/p>\n<p>Castro\u2019s motion was seconded by Bayan Muna Party-list Rep. Carlos Zarate who is also part of the Makabayan bloc.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said Badoy\u2019s remarks were done using her own social media account and not of the PCOO\u2019s, thus not reflecting the position of the agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a Facebook post of Undersecretary Badoy, using her own Facebook page. It was not posted on the Presidential Communications Operations Office\u2019s page which has 2 million followers. It was not even posted on PTV, which has more than 2-3 million followers, or the Philippine News Agency,\u201d Andanar said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Whatever our esteemed USec.
