MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday reminded voter registration applicants to comply with strict health protocols more than a week ahead of the start of nationwide voter registration.<\/p>\n

In a Facebook post, the poll body said it will strictly implement the \u201cNo Face Mask and No Face Shield. No Registration\u201d policy and asked registrants to bring their own pens.<\/p>\n

Voter registration will resume on September 1, except in areas under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) or modified ECQ.<\/p>\n

Applications for registration may be submitted from Tuesday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Office of the Election Officer (OEO).<\/p>\n

\u201cSunday because it\u2019s Sunday and Monday disinfection day,\u201d Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the poll body encouraged applicants to download the application forms from www.comelec.gov.ph.<\/p>\n

It also recommended that downloaded forms be filled out before going to the Comelec office for registration.<\/p>\n

The Comelec also reminded the public that forms should be signed in front of the EO.<\/p>\n
