PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 President Rodrigo Duterte presented his plans to ensure the country\u2019s recovery from the effects of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic when he delivered his 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA), Malaca\u00f1ang said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHindi po totoo iyan<\/em>\u00a0(That\u2019s not true),\u201d Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said when asked to react to claims that Duterte, in his SONA delivered on Monday, failed to provide his government\u2019s concrete plans for the country\u2019s recovery from Covid-19.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Risa Hontiveros and Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Isagani Zarate lamented that Duterte used his penultimate SONA to lambast his critics, such as Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and the Lopezes.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Francis Pangilinan, on the other hand, was dismayed that Duterte did not mention the government\u2019s \u201cmiss targets\u201d in mass testing, contact tracing, and the disbursement of cash assistance to poor families affected by the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Some senators also claimed Duterte was not able to give a \u201cclear\u201d Covid-19 recovery roadmap.<\/p>\n<p>Roque said the lawmakers\u2019 reactions no longer surprised the Palace.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cKaniya-kaniyang pananaw po iyan. At siyempre galing sa oposisyon, wala naman silang mabuting makikita doon sa sinabi ni Presidente<\/em>\u00a0(We all have different views.
