(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ManilaPIO\/photos\/a.610327329451960\/905783276573029\/?type=3&amp;theater\">photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ManilaPIO\/\">Manila Public Information Office\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The city government of Manila is eyeing the Quirino Grandstand as the location of its second coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) drive-thru testing center, after its first testing center in Lawton became a \u201cblockbuster\u201d among citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Manila Mayor Francisco \u2018Isko Moreno\u2019 Domagoso, in his regular Covid-19 update on Thursday, asked to be given 48 hours to set up a \u201cbigger, better, more efficient and more convenient\u201d second drive-thru testing center.<\/p>\n<p>This came as Domagoso received complaints about the traffic congestion caused by the drive-thru testing center in front of the Kartilya ng Katipunan in Lawton.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Para maibsan pangamba nyo sa<\/em>\u00a0traffic\u00a0<em>kaysa sa<\/em>\u00a0Covid-19,\u00a0<em>pipilitin pa rin naming magbuti<\/em>\u00a0(To ease your worries over traffic instead of Covid-19, we will try to improve it),\u201d he said. \u201c<em>Kung kayo ay naperwisyo namin sa<\/em>\u00a0traffic\u00a0<em>sa<\/em>\u00a0Lawton,\u00a0<em>ako na po ang humihingi ng paumanhin sa inyo<\/em>\u00a0(If we caused you problems in Lawton, I apologize)\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Domagoso said on the second day of the operation of the drive-thru testing center, he immediately called for an emergency meeting for assessment.<\/p>\n<p>Right after the meeting, the team went to the Quirino Grandstand after he received a positive response from Director Cecil Romero of the National Parks Development Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Domagoso said he could have six lanes in Luneta, which he targets to launch on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Itong<\/em>\u00a0Grandstand,\u00a0<em>kaya nating mag<\/em>-test\u00a0<em>ng<\/em>\u00a0700 maximum\u00a0<em>sa<\/em>\u00a0drive-thru.\u00a0<em>Mapaghihiwalay natin yung tatlong gulong, dalawang gulong,<\/em>\u00a0motorized and non-motorized\u00a0<em>sa apat na gulong<\/em>\u00a0(At the Quirino Grandstand, we can test a maximum of 700.
