(File photo: @visuals\/Unsplash)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported on Sunday that 50 more Filipinos abroad got infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing its total number to 8,854.<\/p>\n<p>In its case bulletin, the DFA also reported eight new recoveries and 17 new fatalities in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>These bring the total number of recoveries to 5,274 and the total number of deaths to 611.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a total of 2,969 Filipinos abroad are still undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As of yesterday, the department has repatriated over 78,800 overseas Filipinos since the government began its Covid-19 repatriation efforts in February 2020.
