I was positive igm and&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OgieAlcasidOfficial\/\">Ogie Alcasid<\/a> on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OgieAlcasidOfficial\/posts\/3127729487262798\">Thursday, July 9, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>Filipino singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid revealed the reason why he was being &#8220;a little inactive&#8221; recently, saying that he was in isolation after he found out that he tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) when he underwent rapid testing in &#8220;ASAP.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a Facebook post, Alcasid, however, said he took another test but the result showed that he did contract the virus.<\/p>\n<p>To make sure if he was indeed infected or not, he took another test and it bared that he was &#8220;still positive <em>sa<\/em> (for) IgG.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So protocol of HR is that I take the PCR swab and that I did last Monday. <em>Masakit sya<\/em> (It hurt),&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Got results today after 4 days and I am negative. Praise The Lord!!!&#8221; he gladly announced.<\/p>\n<p>The 52-year-old singer did not give further details, but said he has a lot of stories to tell soon about his isolation and &#8220;communion with God.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Btw (By the way), I was asymptomatic the whole time. [I] will show you videos soon,&#8221; Alcasid said.<\/p>\n<p>More than 52,000 individuals were infected by the COVID-19 in the Philippines, as the Department of Health reported 1,233 new cases \u2014 848 were fresh cases, while 385 were late cases \u2014 on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Alcasid earlier joined his co-stars in extending help during the pandemic through donating his toy collection, which he built up for over 24 years, to the &#8220;Shop and Share&#8221; project launched by actresses Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis, with the goal to raise funds for purchasing COVID-19 test kits.<\/p>\n<p>[<a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2020\/05\/23\/ogie-alcasid-donates-toys-hes-been-collecting-for-24-years-to-help-raise-funds-for-covid-19-test-kits\/\">READ: Ogie Alcasid donates toys he\u2019s been collecting for 24 years to help raise funds for COVID-19 test kits<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Shop and Share&#8221; team announced in June that they started giving out 600 COVID-19 test kits to Filipinos in need.
