Mihail Sion (Romania), Consul General of Spain Fernando Heredia and colleagues from the Embassies of Belgium, the Netherlands and the EU Delegation.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Richard Gordon, the chairperson of the Philippine Red Cross, also witnessed the bloodletting drive.<\/p>\n<p>The EU, through its humanitarian arm European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), has been a long-standing partner and donor to the PRC.<\/p>\n<p>During the Taal Volcano eruption early this year, the bloc provided over PHP42 million to the Red Cross response.<\/p>\n<p>ECHO also provided funding support during recent calamities including Typhoon Tisoy, dengue outbreak, Batanes earthquake, and the conflict in Mindanao.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe continue to express our support as &#8216;we heal as one&#8217; community.
