(Pexels photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>This is the first time immigrants are being sworn in as Canadian citizens across the country all at the same time.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nineteen immigrants across Canada became citizens in an online ceremony this Canada day.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-14932\"><\/span>This is the first time in history that people would take the oath of citizenship from coast to coast to coast at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Since April 1, Canada has held over 1,000 virtual\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-citizenship-immigration-and-settlement-in-canada.html\">citizenship<\/a>\u00a0ceremonies.\u00a0The in-person ceremonies scheduled for late March were cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.<\/p>\n<p>The 19 new Canadian citizens range in age from six to 66, and represent 13 different countries of origin.
