(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PhilippineDrugEnforcementAgency\/photos\/a.1945720945756932\/1945720932423600\/?type=1&amp;amp;theater\">Photo:<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PhilippineDrugEnforcementAgency\/\">PDEA Top Stories\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Authorities on Sunday seized over PHP42 million worth of suspected illegal drugs and arrested eight suspects, including a Chinese national, in three separate operations in Quezon City and Malabon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>In a report, the agency said the first buy-bust launched with the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) transpired beside a gasoline station on Mindanao Avenue in Barangay Bagong Pag-Asa, Quezon City around 1:45 a.m. Sunday and resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects Datu Boy Nasser, Norhana Nasser, and Said Ampakay.<\/p>\n<p>Seized from them were two transparent plastic packs containing suspected shabu worth PHP6.8 million, buy-bust money, and a Mitsubishi Montero.<\/p>\n<p>In a follow-up operation at around 8 a.m. in Barangay San Bartolome in Novaliches, police officers also arrested the suspects&#8217; alleged suppliers &#8212; Kenneth Maclan, Dennis Roque, Harold Villasana, and Carlito Biglang-awa &#8212; and yielded shabu worth PHP8.84 million, drug paraphernalia and various firearms and explosives.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Chinese Tuan Xi Yuan was arrested in a buy-bust in Barangay Dampalit, Malabon City.
