On July 1, Canadians from coast to coast to coast are invited to take part in an array of virtual celebrations to express our national pride.<\/p>\n<p>This year more than ever, Canada Day is an important national celebration bringing Canadians together, even if it is done virtually.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also time to commemorate some key events in our history, as this year marks the 40<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of the official adoption of our national anthem, \u201cO Canada,\u201d and the essential role the M\u00e9tis Nation played in Manitoba joining Confederation 150 years ago.<\/p>\n<h3>An exciting and engaging lineup<\/h3>\n<p>The roster of activities draws on what makes Canada strong: its diverse cultures, athletic and artistic excellence, Indigenous languages and cultures, and our spirit of innovation. Wherever you are, join in.<\/p>\n<p>A virtual\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/canadian-heritage\/campaigns\/canada-day\/celebration-kit.html\">Celebration Kit<\/a>\u00a0is now available with interactive, creative and educational activities the whole family can enjoy. Canada\u2019s embassies, consulates and high commissions are also presenting activities worldwide.
