Alfiler)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The possibility of placing the National Capital Region (NCR) from the general community quarantine (GCQ) to the more relaxed modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) will depend on the trend of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the region, Interior Secretary Eduardo A\u00f1o said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Sa akin,<\/em>\u00a050-50\u00a0<em>pa rin yan<\/em>\u00a0(50 percent yes, 50 percent no),\u00a0<em>may<\/em>\u00a0possibility<em>\u00a0kaya lang kasi kailangan makita muna namin &#8216;yung<\/em>\u00a0data,\u00a0<em>bukas merong<\/em>\u00a0presentation\u00a0<em>ng<\/em>\u00a0data analytics, although\u00a0<em>tumataas pa &#8216;yung numero pero kaya naman.<\/em>\u00a0<em>Ibig sabihin,<\/em>\u00a0within the limit\u00a0<em>naman siya kasi &#8216;yung mga<\/em>\u00a0hospital\u00a0<em>natin maluwag, walang napupuno<\/em>\u00a0(For me it&#8217;s still a 50-50 chance, there is a possibility but we need to see the data and tomorrow (Wednesday), there is a presentation of data analytics. Although there is an increase in the number of cases, it remains manageable. It is still within the limit because our hospitals have enough capacity and they are not full),&#8221; A\u00f1o told reporters in a phone interview.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from Metro Manila, he said they are also keeping a close watch on the situation in Cebu and Davao.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00f1o said the deaths from Covid-19 are averaging from eight to 13 per day.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, said downgrading Metro Manila&#8217;s quarantine status to MGCQ is &#8220;dangerous&#8221; as transportation and businesses would be opened up to 75 percent capacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>&#8216;Yun ang<\/em>\u00a0<em>nakakatakot diyan, kasi pagka<\/em>\u00a0<em>nagkaroon ka ng<\/em>\u00a0MGCQ<em>\u00a0bubuksan mo na lahat ng<\/em>\u00a0transportation,\u00a0<em>lahat ng<\/em>\u00a0businesses\u00a0<em>i<\/em>-open\u00a0<em>mo na,<\/em>\u00a0although 75 percent\u00a0<em>&#8216;yung<\/em>\u00a0workforce\u00a0<em>nyan pero bubuksan mo na lahat yan, kumbaga ang maiiwan na lang dyan ay yung mga hindi papayagan<\/em>\u00a0such as gaming, leisure,\u00a0<em>so kailangan talaga dyan,<\/em>\u00a0careful study<em>\u00a0talaga<\/em>\u00a0(That&#8217;s scary, because if you are now under MGCQ, you would open up all the transportation, all the businesses will open but that will require 75 percent of their workforce. Only those that are not allowed to operate like gaming and leisure industries will remain closed.
