(File <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/w\/index.php?curid=25218021\">photo by Ramon FVelasquez\/Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 3.0<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The bi-annual gathering of officials and members of the Catholic Bishops\u2019 Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) set next month has been canceled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is to inform you that the CBCP Permanent Council, in its meeting on May 12, 2020, decided that due to the present health situation caused by the (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic, the Plenary Assembly scheduled on July 11-13, 2020, is cancelled,\u201d CBCP secretary general, Fr.
