Photo from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.golfcanada.ca\/news\/article\/amateur\/brooke-henderson-prepares-lpga-major-week-mission-hills\/\" target=\"_blank\">Golf Canada \/ Bernard Brault<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Canadian teen Brooke Henderson has taken top spot in the\u00a0world\u00a0women\u2019s amateur golf ranking.<\/p>\n<p>The 17-year-old from Smiths Falls, Ont., moved up one spot Wednesday after Australian Minjee Lee turned professional earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Lee and Aussie teammates Su Oh and Shelly Shin beat Henderson\u2019s Canadian team by two shots at the recent\u00a0world\u00a0amateur team championship in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Henderson shot the low individual round at the tournament with 19-under 269.<\/p>\n<p>The runner-up at the U.S. women\u2019s amateur championship, Henderson was also the top Canadian and amateur at the Canadian Pacific Women\u2019s Open last month.<\/p>\n<p>American Alison Lee is second in the ranking followed by Nanna Madsen of Switzerland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Canadian teen Brooke Henderson has taken top spot in the\u00a0world\u00a0women\u2019s amateur golf ranking.
