(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DOTrPH\/photos\/pcb.1517065581765906\/1517081115097686\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DOTrPH\/\">Department of Transportation &#8211; Philippines\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The implementation of all major infrastructure projects under the national government\u2019s ambitious \u201cBuild, Build, Build\u201d program can now resume amid the crisis brought about by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic in the country, Malaca\u00f1ang said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>In a virtual presser aired on state-run PTV-4, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has already approved the resumption of big-ticket infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201dLahat ng ating<\/em>\u00a0\u2018Build, Build, Build\u2019 [infrastructure projects]\u00a0<em>na<\/em>\u00a0major\u00a0<em>ay binigyan na po ng<\/em>\u00a0go signal\u00a0<em>ng<\/em>\u00a0IATF\u00a0<em>na ipatuloy<\/em>\u00a0(The IATF-EID has allowed all major \u2018Build, Build, Build\u2019 infrastructure projects to resume),\u201d Roque said.<\/p>\n<p>The list of flagship infrastructure projects that will push through despite the Covid-19 crisis has yet to be released.<\/p>\n<p>Fitch Solutions Country Risk and Industry Research on Monday released its report which projects that the Philippines\u2019 full-year growth in 2020 will be -0.2 percent, down from the 0.5 percent growth forecast in May.<\/p>\n<p>Malaca\u00f1ang on Tuesday expressed confidence that resuming the implementation of the \u201cBuild, Build, Build\u201d projects and easing the monetary policy would help the Philippine economy recover faster.<\/p>\n<p>The IATF-EID initially prohibited the implementation of construction and infrastructure projects due to Covid-19 outbreak.
