Razon)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Interior Secretary Eduardo A\u00f1o on Monday urged the public to improve social behavior as the country gears towards a &#8216;new normal&#8217; situation to fight the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Pinaka<\/em>-bottomline\u00a0<em>talaga dito, &#8216;yung pagsunod ng ating mga kababayan. &#8216;Yung tinatawag nating<\/em>\u00a0social behavior\u00a0<em>na<\/em>\u00a0ready<em>\u00a0na tayo na kahit walang<\/em>\u00a0GCQ (general community quarantine)\u00a0<em>o kaya naibaba ang<\/em>\u00a0ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) to GCQ,\u00a0<em>gagawin mo naman yung<\/em>\u00a0personal role\u00a0<em>o<\/em>\u00a0part<em>\u00a0mo. (Ito) &#8216;yung<\/em>\u00a0physical distancing,\u00a0<em>pagsusuot ng<\/em>\u00a0face mask\u00a0<em>at saka<\/em>\u00a0bottomline\u00a0<em>dyan,<\/em>\u00a0stay at home\u00a0<em>kung wala kang gagawing importante sa labas<\/em>\u00a0[The bottomline here is the public&#8217;s compliance. This is what we call compliance with social behavior that even without GCQ or ECQ is lowered to GCQ, you will do your personal role or part. This includes physical distancing, wearing face masks and the bottomline is that you should stay at home if don&#8217;t have anything essential to do outside],\u201d A\u00f1o said during a Laging Handa briefing on state-run PTV-4.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00f1o added that a &#8216;localized ECQ&#8217; is possible after May 15.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Pwede rin kasi sa pagdating ng<\/em>\u00a0May 16,\u00a0<em>pupunta na tayo sa<\/em>\u00a0localized ECQ\u00a0<em>na pwedeng hindi na buong probinsya. Pupunta na tayo sa mga barangay, munisipalidad,<\/em>\u00a0component city\u00a0<em>na &#8216;yun na ang<\/em>\u00a0<em>ma<\/em>-lockdown n<em>atin<\/em>\u00a0[It is also likely that on May 16, we will proceed to a localized ECQ. This means we will just implement a lockdown in villages, municipalities, component cities and not the whole province anymore],&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00f1o said the aim of ECQ is to lower the death rate and the doubling of cases in the areas.<\/p>\n<p>Such type of ECQ would consolidate the resources and intervene in the cases in the said areas.<\/p>\n<p>He also advised the public to do away with the mindset of roaming in malls once GCQ is implemented in some areas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;(We still have) community quarantine pa rin.
