(Pexels photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Philippine Embassy in Seoul reported Thursday that one of the four Filipinos with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in South Korea recovered and has been discharged from the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The three remaining Filipino patients are undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Sila po ngayon ay pinangangalagaan sa<\/em>\u00a0Korean hospital\u00a0<em>ng mga<\/em>\u00a0Korean medical authorities\u00a0<em>at nakikipag-ugnayan po ang<\/em>\u00a0embassy\u00a0<em>sa kanila at mino<\/em>-monitor\u00a0<em>po natin ang kanilang kalagayan<\/em>\u00a0(They are being taken care of by Korean hospital authorities and the embassy is coordinating with them to monitor the Filipinos&#8217; situation),&#8221; Embassy charg\u00e9 d&#8217;affaires Christian de Jesus said during the Laging Handa briefing.<\/p>\n<p>As of January 2020, there are approximately 58,429 Filipinos in South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>De Jesus said the number of new Covid-19 infections in South Korea has decreased since a mass testing campaign was launched.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Sa loob po ng isang linggo, malaki po ang\u00a0<\/em>improvement<em>\u00a0ng pagbaba ng<\/em>\u00a0number of confirmed cases of Covid-19.\u00a0<em>Kahapon walo ang naitala na bagong<\/em>\u00a0cases,\u00a0<em>ibig sabihin po nito patuloy na nag-i<\/em>-improve\u00a0<em>ang situwasyon sa<\/em>\u00a0Korea (Within the week, there had been a huge improvement on the decrease of new Covid-19 cases.
