MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday reported 128 new positive cases for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 1,546.<\/p>\n

In its 4 p.m. case bulletin, the DOH also reported seven additional deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 78.<\/p>\n

They are patients 149, 587, 647, 1488, 1447, 1446, and 1489.<\/p>\n

Patient 149 is a 61-year-old Filipino female from Makati City with no travel and exposure history.<\/p>\n

She was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on March 16 and died on March 27. She died from acute respiratory failure secondary to community-acquired pneumonia secondary to Covid-19. She also had hypertension.<\/p>\n

Patient 587 is a 79-year-old Filipino male from Muntinlupa City with no travel history.<\/p>\n

He was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on March 24 and died on March 29. He died from acute respiratory failure secondary to pneumonia Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Patient 647 is a 43-year-old Filipino male from Para\u00f1aque City with no travel and exposure history.<\/p>\n

He was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on March 25 and died on March 27. He died from acute respiratory failure due to secondary to pneumonia Covid-19 and myocardial dysfunction.<\/p>\n

Patient 1488 is a 60-year-old male from Muntinlupa City. His nationality is still for validation, with unknown travel and exposure history.<\/p>\n

He was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on March 25 and died on March 26. He died from acute respiratory distress syndrome and septic shock secondary to Covid-19.<\/p>\n

Patient 1447 is a 45-year-old Filipino male from Davao City with unknown travel and exposure history.<\/p>\n

He died was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on March 29 but died on March 23.<\/p>\n

He died from cardiopulmonary arrest, acute respiratory distress syndrome secondary to community-acquired pneumonia and hypoxia.<\/p>\n

Patient 1446 is a 59-year-old Filipino male from Davao City with no travel history.<\/p>\n

He was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on March 29 but died March 23.<\/p>\n

He died from acute respiratory distress syndrome secondary to community-acquired pneumonia and hypoxia. He also had cardiac disease.<\/p>\n

Patient 1489 is a 74-year-old Filipino male from Quezon City with unknown travel and exposure history.<\/p>\n

He was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on March 27 and died March 21. He died from acute respiratory distress syndrome secondary to pneumonia. He also had hypertension and diabetes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
