The Philippine fashion industry bade goodbye to one of its stalwarts, Ito Curata, who joined our Creator at the age of 60.<\/p>\n

Lifestyle Asia Magazine confirmed this news in an Instagram post, saying the renowned fashion designer succumbed to pneumonia brought about by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).<\/p>\n

He was confined in the intensive care unit (ICU) at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa and underwent treatment for a week before he passed away on Thursday evening, March 26.<\/p>\n

“A veteran in bridal design, as well as Filipiniana style with a creative eye and opulent flair, Ito Curata was always a standout,” it said.<\/p>\n
